I Wake Up Every Morning With A Headache And In Chronic Pain
Every morning it’s the same thing; I wake up with a headache and I don’t know why. Did I sleep in the wrong position? I don’t even want to get out of bed the headache hurts so much. I started taking aspirin and looking for other medicines to take to stop my chronic morning headache.
I feel dehydrated, so I drink lots of water before bedtime, resulting in a full bladder in the middle of the night, so I’m off to the bathroom on many occasions. My doctor told me to drink a lot of water too.
I found certain medicines can create headaches.
Over-the-counter pain medications work well when used occasionally.
Pain Medication when used all the time actually produces and can add to your headache. certain medicine may cause headaches.
As an example, an intermittent headache can be turned into a chronic daily headache just by taking three aspirin or pain medications 2-3 times per week.
This means that headache sufferers who give up daily painkillers may actually feel better, not worse. As an added bonus, when people are no longer taking the daily painkillers, then preventive medications will work much better too.
Going painkiller drug free to cure my headaches.
So who would’ve thought going drug-free would cure my headaches; actually it didn’t; it did help though. The reason I was taking the medicine in the 1st Place was to kill the pain of the headaches.
I still have some occurring headaches that still are a bother, although I have cut back on my pain-killers. I’m wondering what to do to get rid of the chronic morning headaches once and for all.
Maybe my chronic morning headache is from sleeping with the wrong pillow?
Trust me when I tell you your pillow has very little to do with your chronic morning headaches, because of all the different pillows I tried. Soft, hard contoured and nope it didn’t help. My headaches are still there, frustrating me every morning.
I bought one of those body length pillows and although I do like sleeping with it my morning headaches continued. My thinking was around what position I was sleeping in that was causing these headaches.
Chiropractic care had finally relieved my chronic morning headaches!! My chiropractor made some simple adjustments.
After visiting with my chiropractor; he showed me with x-rays; I was getting a pinched nerve in my neck. I found out I have what is known and as a subluxation. I didn’t know what causes a subluxation, because my chronic morning headaches didn’t seem logical. It didn’t make sense, but I decided to have the doctor treat me anyway since I was sick and tired of my morning headaches.
I was surprised, because it took a few weeks, however the pain relief has been fantastic and I noticed my energy level has risen as well. I sleep like a baby, so the visits to the chiropractor has really paid off. I find that my chronic morning headaches are no more.
