November 19th, 2009 Christian Goodman No comments

I used to suffer from severe neck and upper back pain from a injury caused due to automobile accident. It was a continuous pain and I started to alter my upright position to a sort of curved stance. Sudden car accidents can change life as these kinds of pain sometimes are simply incurable.

I do have friends and clients who suffer neck pains but their neck pain causes and symptoms are extremely diverse as are the pain they experience.

Injury or trauma to the neck disc or nerve problems helps in the development of this kind of pain within the neck. Arthritis is also sometime responsible. Sometimes stress, sleeping in an odd positions and long strain to the neck can develop this pain.

Generally neck pains are acute and develop as sudden or chronic problems. It can last more then three months depending on the cause and Fibromyalgia is one of such common cause. Definitive diagnosis cannot be done always.

Patients suffering from this kind of pain experience muscle stiffness, soreness, and the neck become stiff to touch. Sometime the acute pain is strong enough to force the neck to turn to one side. In other time there are pain in the base of the skull, one or both-sided headaches, pain radiating down the back and/or arms, tingling arms and/or fingers and general weakness in the neck and/or arms.

Unfortunately, women suffer neck pain more than men.

Mostly neck pains are very discomforting and disappears within a day or two but sometimes these pains signal that something really serious has happened to your body.

Meningitis is such a rare kind of pain. This creates an inflammation in brain and spinal chord and is caused by viral as well as bacterial infection. Viral disease is generally common but not devastating. But bacterial meningitis is something very uncommon and can kill the patient as well.

Abnormal rash development, fever, nausea, vomiting, severe neck pain and sensitivity to light are the other symptoms to look for if you think that you are suffering from this dreaded problem.

Neck pain may also arise from intense head trauma. Then it may include symptoms like headache, nausea, vomiting, loss or complications in vision, hearing or balance, pain localized behind one eye and weakness in arm and/or leg muscles.

What precautions can be taken to avoid neck pain? For the pain that is not caused by serious neck injury or illness, regular routine should be followed as much as possible unless ones regular routine is the reason behind this pain. For such times, consider ergonomic solutions as the only solution.

If at all a neck collar is been prescribed to you, try not to use it very often as this gradually weaken the neck muscles. Doing exercise is a good option as this improves fitness and also neck muscles.

Remember another important thing related to this pain, is that all the muscles around your neck, back and head are connected together and it’s very important not to ignore them while exercising for neck pain problem. Hence I am bringing my Neck Pain Relief program that cures the pains in a very natural way. This programme is on its way and I wish you to take a chance in this exercise programme as I believe that this is a good answer to those dreaded neck pain.
